Aetna will no longer offer insured small group medical plans in Washington for groups with less than 51 employees.

 What this means:
Health insurance coverage for small employer clients will end at midnight on the day before their renewal date, beginning with January 1, 2025 renewals. 

• Notices from Aetna will be sent to all impacted clients (and their members) 180 days prior to their non-renewal.
• Aetna will no longer sell new business as of 1/1/25 effective dates.
• Aetna will continue to process and service renewals as usual through 12/01/24 renewal dates.
